The schedule for the first two months (including Saturday, Jan 25th):
Ensemble groups KANGAROO, WICKERSHAM, and JUNGLE will rehearse from 9-1. Optional parent orientation from 9-9:30 AM.
Ensemble groups THINGS, BIRD GIRLS, and FISH will rehearse from 1-5. Optional parent orientation from 4:20-4:50 PM.
The WHOS ensemble will rehearse from 1-3 or 3-5 (see cast list for your assigned time). Optional parent orientation from 2:30-3 or 4:20-4:50 PM.
At the parent meeting, Joe will go over the rehearsal and production process, including rehearsal procedures, costumes, tech week, volunteering, and sponsorships. We encourage all new families to attend. Returning families are welcome to attend (but if you attended last spring or fall's meeting, it's the same information).
Bring to rehearsal: Sneakers or dance shoes (No crocs, boots, or flip flops. Improper footwear = no dancing). Water, script, nut free snack, and pencil.
IMPORTANT DROP OFF AND PICK UP PROCEDURES:
For safety and efficiency, traffic in and out of the building will be strictly controlled. Our first goal is everyone's safety. Our second goal is to move 168 children and their parents quickly! Thank you for your cooperation in this matter!
DROP OFF ASSIGNMENTS:
If you start rehearsal at 9 AM: Drop off between 8:45-8:55 and go directly upstairs. Adults please say goodbye to children outside.
If you start rehearsal at 1 PM: Drop off between 11:45-11:55 and go directly upstairs. Adults please say goodbye to children outside.
If you start rehearsal at 3 PM: Drop off between 2:50-3:00. Students will report to the lobby.
PICK UP ASSIGNMENTS:
Students 13+ may self dismiss with signed waiver. Everyone else must have an adult come INTO the building to match with their child before walking out the 2 sets of doors.
1 PM Pick Up: An adult should arrive between 12:50 and 1 PM to wait in the lobby. At 1 PM students will be released in groups from the Success Academy to adults waiting in the lobby. If you arrive after students have been released, you will need to wait outside until the families who were on time have left.
3 PM Pick Up: An adult can come up to the door to pick up children waiting in the lobby.
5 PM Pick Up: An adult should arrive between 4:50 and 5 PM to wait inside the Success Academy. At 5 PM students will be brought into the success Academy in groups to match with an adult and dismiss.
The rehearsal door is locked at all times for safety. If your child arrives late or you need to come in early to pick your child up: call the number posted on the door and a staff member will come to let you in.
The cast list is final. Each child has been purposefully placed into a role, cast, and group. Every role in the production is important and we can't wait to get started! When possible, we placed siblings in the same performance time.
