The director will select and mix/cut music and create the daily schedule (which will include time to learn music and choreography for the show case as well as games/activities/workshops to build theater skills for young performers). The director will also assign different staff/interns/CITs to choreograph and teach different songs to the campers. A directing internship with MYT or prior experience directing is preferred.

Sessions 1-4 - Stage Manager (paid staff or volunteer internship)
The stage manager is responsible for scheduling rehearsal time with the directors and ensuring rehearsals run on schedule each day. The stage managers are responsible for completing blocking slides, uploading videos to the shared cast folder, creating the runsheet, and organizing/running the backstage. Applicants can apply for individual session(s) or the full summer.
CITs (Counselors in Training)
The MTC CIT program runs during the first session of summer camp, where high school students learn to teach and work with children. CITs choreograph dances for the show and plan games and crafts for campers to enjoy. CITs also share the responsibilities of staff members, including cleaning, organizing, load in, and strike.

Planning and Training: To prepare for camp, CITs will train and plan with staff on Saturdays in May to choreograph dances for the show, plan games/crafts, and learn strategies for working with children.

Selected CITs will be sent registration information ($99 fee). Selected CITs do NOT register for session 1. The CIT program is open to students entering grades 9-12 in fall 2023, who are an active member of MYT. The number of CIT spots (between 8-12 spots) is determined by camper enrollment. As a result, not everyone who applies will be able to participate, nor does past participation guarantee a spot this year.

Applications are due April 15th. Accepted students will be notified via email by May 7th.
