Over the last 5 years MYT has continued to grow and reflect on the best ways to “build great shows and great kids.” During rehearsal times, we have been directly educating students on dance technique, reading music, and acting theory. These educational additions to our program have made a noticeable difference in the growth of our performers.
We are excited to announce “acadeMY” on Tuesdays and Thursdays. MYT Staff are excited to lead educational workshops in dance, music, and acting to further our student’s performance skills.
This program is launching with a special introductory price. This program is open to any K-12 students, with an additional $20 discount for students enrolled in a Fall  2026 MYT production (applied as an account credit in October).
We hope you’ll join us Tuesdays (Rising and Shining Stars) or Thursdays (Junior and Teen Company) for more MYT fun as we improve our dance, music and acting skills!
Berlin YMCA Camp Thundermoon: Thundermoon Theater
Do you love theater? Wish you could do more than one show this summer? While MTC is excited to offer each age group a full production at Mountain Mist, there is more theater to be had at Camp Thundermoon. There will be a bus from Mountain Mist to Thundermoon for Meriden campers!

Camp Thundermoon is  proud to announce their newest musical theatre camp, Camp Broadway MyWay. Working in partnership with Camp Broadway and Camp Broadway MyWay, which are presented by the Broadway Education Alliance, Inc., this show will help to promote the development of life skills through the process of learning the fundamentals of musical theater.
Class instruction in acting, dancing/movement, singing/music, character development, writing, stagecraft, and other creativity-promoting activities, culminates in a 25-minute musical revue (not the full production of the show) where every member of the ensemble has a moment to shine. Our author-authorized show includes: an exclusive prologue and epilogue to set the scene for the audience, approximately 75-100 lines of dialogue, five musical theatre production numbers, and an original showcase musical finale that celebrates the fun that kids have had and the community they have created throughout this theatre experience.

2 Sessions of Fun for students entering grades K-6!

MYT CITs & Interns
Youth Leadership Program

Active MYT students entering grades 9-12 can apply to be a MTC Counselor in Training. Our CIT program focuses on teaching students how to work with children. CITs will lead a group of campers throughout the day as well as choreograph dances, plan games, and set up crafts for campers. The CIT program runs during the MTC Shining Stars camp sessions. Previous participation does not guarantee a spot this year and space is limited. Only open to active MYT students involved in our program.
Applications open in Winter.

Our intern program is for students who have completed 2 years of the CIT program and focuses on training students in specific areas of theater (directing, stage management, creative team, tech, etc). Interested students should contact MYT staff directly.
